Aftermath! (1932)

Full title reads: “Aftermath! German Navy Mine Sweepers are still finding & destroying mines laid during Great War - 18 years ago - as far north as the Arctic Ocean.“ German naval minesweepers (not clear where they are - it may be in an estuary somewhere). Shot of sailors at work at the bow of one of the boats. A mine floats close to the bow of the ship. The men work with ropes. They are then shown working on a mine on board ship (they are hitting it with a hammer!). They attach something to the mine and then lower it back overboard. Once the mine is a safe distance from the ship it explodes - they must have attached an explosive device to it. The explosion causes a plume of water to rise into the air. Shot of another explosion at sea. FILM ID: A VIDEO FROM BRITISH PATHÉ. EXPLORE OUR ONLINE CHANNEL, BRITISH PATHÉ TV. IT’S FULL OF GREAT DOCUMENTARIES, FASCINATING INTERVIEWS, AND CLASSIC MOVIES.
