Throwing, Trimming, and Finishing a Faceted Stretched Cup with a Stained Clay
In yet another installation of my series of videos on working with stained marbled clay, this video covers the processes of throwing a thick straight-walled cup form, cutting facets in the side while plastic and on the wheel, and then stretching the faceted sides by pushing out the interior walls to create a belly. I remove slip from the exterior and interior of the form with a rib, and allow to get leatherhard. Once leatherhard, I trim the cup form using my Giffin Grip- holding the pot securely upside-do
