After the massive success of Army of the Dead, the zombie movie that Zack Snyder released on Netflix back in 2021, Snyder was greenlit to make several films for Netflix. Rebel Moon is an epic space opera and the first of Snyder’s new films to be released on Netflix. Originally conceived as a Star Wars film, Snyder reworked the script to be an original work and the first part is set to be released in December 2023.
