Fashions A La Parisienne (1921)

c 1921 A “town dress“ by Maison Poiret is modelled in a sitting room setting. A “novel cloak“ is next - the sleeves are trimmed with gelatine sequins. The model holds up a mirror as she turns in the room. (Very nice chair with a printed shell fabric can be seen and a standard lamp with patterned shade.) Model poses by leaning against the wall very dramatically - to show off the sleeves I suppose. “Paris is emphasising her taste in black.“ observes an intertitle. The next outfit to be shown is from Maison Redfern and is an evening cloak and gown of black bulle with moonlight blue spangles. “The low cut back is still in favour.“ The model turns to show us her back - she looks into a hand mirror. Some Maison Mimoso novelties are presented next. Model opens a door to show us a black and blue hat with ribbon cockade and flowers. She turns her head to full effect.
