YANAGI-UKE Demonstration - Parry with Samurai Sword

Today’s video shows a BUDO (martial arts) sword parry technique called YANAGI-UKE which uses the back of the sword or MI-NE to block your opponent’s sword. It is good training for TAI-SABAKI and MAAI. TAI-SABAKI is body positioning that goes from defense to offense. MAAI is the distance that is maintained between you and your opponent when you are facing off. #yanagiuke #budo #tate #maai #zanshin #samurai #samuraisword #bokken #katana #exercise #kazmethod I’m teaching this method from zoom.
