Bioluminescence explosion at Jervis Bay - January 2020

To use this video in a commercial player or in broadcasts, please email licensing@ On the night of Wednesday 15th January, the entire area of Jervis Bay (NSW Australia), as far as the eye could see, was lit up with the bioluminescent glows and sparkles of noctiluca scintillans. Hundreds of people flocked to the bay, many of them never having seen bioluminescence before. It was in the waves, trapped in rock pools, and sparkling like blue diamonds in the sand.
