Author of the project: Vitaly Ananchenko 📋Project Name: Graphic housing in Žvėrynas (Vilnius, Lithuania) 📍Location: Vilnius, Lithuania 📂Category: Best Project of Residential or Mixed-Use Estate ℹ️About the project: Here, 3 to 4 storey commercial buildings had to smoothly fit in with the 1 and 2 storey houses, which was quite a challenging task. To ensure the festive and grand image of this part of the street, the buildings were split into two blocks, each of them featuring two differently leveled units, rising above the stylobate. Block 1 is located at the corner of Kęstučio and Lentkoji Streets. Block 2 is recessed away from the street, shaping the front yard. The final outline of the new facility reechoes the scale of the surrounding private houses, which helps with its merging in the existing urban environment. 🥰𝙇𝙞𝙠𝙚 𝙞𝙩 𝙤𝙧 𝙣𝙤𝙩? The International Golden Trezzini Awards are the world’s only competition for architecture and design where the winning projects are taken into a state museum’s collection.
