Effi Duke “Know Thy Self“

I have been spinning this one non-stop lately. It is a gem of a record throughout. An ex-Wings member (lead guitar/vocals on Spud Nathan) Duke plays bass and guitar on the record. His guitar playing brings jazz voicings and styling in the vein of Wes Montgomery, which he mixes with a funk/disco hybrid. He calls his sound Progressive African Jazz. Enjoy!
