Shri Bhadrakali Kavacham (with meaning)

Shri Mataji श्री भद्रकाली कवचम् Source : श्रीब्रह्मवैवर्तमहापुराण गणपतिखण्ड Shri Brahmvaivarta MahaPurana Ganapati Khanda Voice: Anjali Kadri sahajayogaculture21@ Bhadrakali Kavach was narrated by Lord Vishnu in the 37th chapter of the Ganapati Khand of Brahmavaivarta Purana, on request of Narada Muni. The Kavach is preceded by the Dashakashari Vidya, the ten syllabaled mantra ‘Aum hrīṃ shrīṃ klīṃ kālikāyai svāhā’ which was imparted by Rishi Durvasa to King Pushkar. After reciting it ten lakh times, he was able to receive the blessings of this mantra. Thereafter by reciting the same five lakh times, he was blessed with the supreme kavacha which helped him conquer the world. This Kavacha was first bestowed by Nārāyaṇa to Shiva. By using this Kavach Shiva killed Tripurāsura. Then later Shiva imparted the same to Durvāsā. Durvāsā inturn imparted the same to the great soul Suchandra. It is an extremely secret tattva and is the source of all the mantras. In the Kavach, we ask for protection of our head, eyes, nose, teeth, lips, neck, ears, shoulders, chest, navel, back, hands, feet and the complete body. We ask different forms of Devi to protect us from the problems arising from all the directions, and in earth, water and sky. The one who is blessed by this Kavach becomes the lord of all siddhis. All the great charities, tapas and vratas do not compare even with one sixteenth part of this Kavacha. भद्रकाली कवच का वर्णन भगवान विष्णु ने ब्रह्मवैवर्त पुराण के गणपति खंड, अध्याय 37 में, नारद मुनि के अनुरोध पर किया था। कवच के पूर्व में दशाक्षरी विद्या आती है, जिसमें दस अक्षरोंवाला मंत्र ’औम् ह्रीं श्रीं क्लीं कालिकायै स्वाहा’ का उल्लेख किया गया है। यह मंत्र ऋषि दुर्वासा ने राजा पुष्कर को प्रदान किया था। राजा पुष्कर ने दस लाख बार इस मंत्र का जप करने के बाद, इस मंत्र का आशीर्वाद प्राप्त किया। इसके बाद, उन्होंने और पांच लाख बार इसका जप किया जिसके फलस्वरूप उन्हें महान भद्रकाली कवच प्राप्त हुआ जिसकी मदद से वे विश्वविजेता बने। यह कवच सर्वप्रथम भगवान नारायण ने शिवजी को दिया था जिसकी मदद से उन्होंने त्रिपुरासुर का वद किया। फिर शिवजी ने इसे ऋषि दुर्वासा को प्रदान किया। ऋषि दुर्वासा ने फिर इसे महात्मा सुचंद्र को प्रदान किया। यह एक अत्यंत गोपनीय तत्त्व है और सभी मंत्रों का स्रोत है। इस कवच में हम अपने सिर, आँखों, नाक, दांत, होंठ, गर्दन, कान, कंधे, छाती, नाभि, पीठ, हाथ, पैर और पूरे शरीर की सुरक्षा के लिए प्रार्थना करते हैं। हम देवी के अलग अलग रूपों से प्रार्थना करते है कि वे पृथ्वी, जल, आकाश और सभी दिशाओं से आने वाली विपत्तियों से हमारी सुरक्षा करें। इस कवच के आशीर्वाद से मनुष्य सभी सिद्धियो
