Excerpt from my post on the SP1200 forum if your emax operates normally but the samples are playing back distorted on all of the outputs and the mix out it is probably the ram. a good way to verify is going into the diagnostic menu and running the ERAM test. I have 1.0 plus os and these are the steps to run the ERAM Diagnostics: Master - Specical - 0 Diagnostics - Enter code 3629 - 2 for ERAM test (1 is processor ram test) if you have a problem it will give you an output screen and on the last part of the top row it says an IC number. This is the ram chip that is a problem. I pulled that ram chip and swapped it with another and the error message IC number followed the chip.
