In 1490, Albrecht Dürer finished his apprenticeship with the Nuremberg artist Michael Wolgemut and followed the common German custom of Wanderjahre in which the apprentice learned skills from artists in other areas.
This movie was made from separate pieces and scenes of an unfinished film.
As originally designed, the young Albrecht Durer encounters people who subsequently become characters in his works. But, alas, much was not filmed.
