Kimberley Kitching ‘hounded to her death’ by Labor
Sky News host Peta Credlin says if Labor Senator Kimberley Kitching wasn’t “hounded to her death” by her Labor colleagues, it was at the very least a contributing factor.
“We’ve known for months that she was under pressure ahead of her preselection,” Ms Credlin said.
“We’ve known for months that despite a strong record of achievement, this relatively new senator was subject to a whispering campaign about whether or not she might lose her Right faction’s backing.”
Sharri Markson reported in Wednesday’s The Australian Ms Kitching was profusely bullied before her shock death.
“Worse still, and perhaps this is where it hit Kitching the hardest, the damage inflicted on her, the barbs and the bullying, came not from her opponents but as alleged by Markson, her own Labor colleagues.
“Most particularly, three other women who should have had her back – Senators Penny Wong, Katy Gallagher, and someone who was once my colleague here at Sky, Kristina Kenea
