P.K. Hendrix, DVM, PhD, DACVA, on issues related to anesthesia during surgical procedures on animals. P.K. Hendrix is a Louisiana native, and attended the LSU School of Veterinary Medicine, obtaining her DVM in 1987. After practicing in a mixed animal practice in Southern Louisiana for a year, she pursued a residency in comparative anesthesiology at the University of Minnesota College of Veterinary Medicine. She completed her anesthesia training in 1992, then remained at the University of Minnesota to complete her PhD in 1995. Dr. Hendrix also became a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Anesthesiologists that same year. The veterinarians at Nashville Veterinary Specialists offer a broad array of specialties including anesthesia, behavior, dentistry, dermatology, emergency, internal medicine, neurology, oncology and surgery.
