Hollywood strike: writers and actors bring film and TV to a standstill

Roll up the red carpet: nothing to see here. (Subscribe: ) That’s because one hundred and sixty thousand Hollywood actors have gone on strike in the film industry’s biggest shutdown for 60 years. Major US productions have been brought to a halt - joining writers on picket lines set up around the headquarters of Netflix, Warner Brothers and Disney.
