Ben Huntoon, Jazz Specialist at Stanton’s Sheet Music, presents “Estate” by Bruno Martino/arr. John Wasson, for Grade 3 Jazz Ensemble #07013190 at the Ohio Music Education Association Professional Development Conference on January 31, 2019. Although originally an Italian song composed in 1960, “Estate” has become a jazz standard thanks in part to the Bossa nova version recorded by Joao Gilberto. This smooth version for younger players features a lyric style of playing and a medium-tempo Bossa style.
