(Anyway FYI, I take some time working on a 100% FULL adapted version that hope to be releasing in some point of 2024). Restoration-Remaster breafing After review of my last remaster of this song back in 2021, (done with my previous-potato PC), I decided to remake the whole thing but this time including a video restoration alongside with a 5.1 remaster-remix, in the same way I’ve been working the last year publishings. About Video: keeping in mind the fact that this footage was the outcoming result from an actual oldie VHS tape digitalization, the result is pretty pleasant compared side-by-side to the original. It was seven weeks of testing countless AI models and configurations (I think I actually tested each one in existence), until after lot of trial and error, I’ve start to find some results. Also tested longer chains of cleaning processes but in that point the balance started to become a pain, with almost no overall improvement. About Audio: beyond the must/usual editing procedures, I built this version using different sources/releases, taking the best from each in terms of dynamic range, to sum up to the final mix, and also I re-added some instumental/vocal nuances lost in the original audio, in between much other improvements. An important (and very unfortunate) point to keep in mind here is that the freaking YouTube’s compression is taking away easily about 40% of the quality sound of the masters I upload, which seems kinda contradiction, but anyway, is what we have right now. 🔺Usual recommendations: ▪ The 5.1 surround sound can be used on YouTube on all televisions of 2021 onwards, as well as in Chromecast, Apple TV, Roku and most Fire TV devices. In addition, the 5.1 envelope sound is compatible with Xbox Series S, Xbox Series X, Xbox One X, Xbox One S, Xbox One and PlayStation 5. Many televisions of the previous 2020 and years also support the surround sound. Check the manufacturer’s information to know if your device is compatible with the 5.1 surround sound. ▪ I strongly encourage you to play my tracks using SPEAKERS. The reason is that I work each remaster based on an “air monitoring“; I mean, using the sound through air just like live sound normally unfolds, and even though headphones will work, the experience will always be better over a speaker based system. The better the speaker system the better the experience; forget about smartvs and cellphone speakers, since all of them are deeply limited in dynamics and hardly can handle mid-ranges.
