L/S of Royal Box - it is empty, none of the Royal Family attend as they are still in mourning for King George V. Various shots of crowds at Ascot. Most are in Royal Enclosure. Lots of glamorous women in latest fashions and men in top hats and morning suits. There are a few shots of ordinary race-goers eating picnics on the heath. Panning L/S of grand stand. M/S of large board with names and numbers of jockeys. M/S of start of race, we see gate go up. Various shots of horses racing around the track.
