Turrican II - The Desert Rocks - Multi-instrumental Cover
LUDUS Full band cover of The Desert Rocks from Turrican II: The Final Fight
What would you like to see me cover next?
By request, The Desert Rocks from Turrican II: The Final Fight.
I’ve personally never had the chance to play Turrican II as I only had a Mega Drive when I was young. I have heard the soundtrack a lot though and when I was asked to cover this song I instantly got to work figuring it out.
It reminded me of a strange mix of Van Halen’s Jump, Europe’s The Final Countdown and Dream Theater’s The Count of Tuscany all rolled into one.
I recorded this cover in Logic Pro X through a Focusrite Clarett 8pre. Guitars were done on my Ernie Ball Sterling John Petrucci signature JP15 in Island Burst into my Kemper Profiling Amp Rack. Bass was recorded on my Dingwall Adam ’Nolly’ Getgood NG-3 6 String in Laguna Blue through my Kemper.
Drums were recorded using my Roland TD17KV V Drums Kit with the GGD Modern and Massive and Invasion kits.
Kemper patches were a 5150 and Mesa Mark V from GGD and a Dark
