This is one of two waltzes, composed by Russian diplomat and poet Alexander Sergeyevich Griboyedov (1795-1829), who is also the author of the immortal play “Woe from Wit“. Waltz in e-moll (E minor) is regarded as the first Russian waltz among those that have survived to this day.
