You can envision the WHOLE thing, you scramble to your battle station (that’s what I call my home studio), turn on your equipment, fire up your DAW only to be met with... paralysis. It’s like you don’t really know what to reach for or click on to make the sounds you hear in your head come to life. What follows is a total depletion of creative energy, as you randomly click on things or look up tutorials and all of the sudden the inspiration you had seems to dry up. OOF *cue the creative gut punch* I’ve sure been there! Well, I’ve raised my hand in this space and said that I can help you make your own songs, from start to finish in your home studio. So, I figured that’s exactly what I should do. In as real, raw and relatable of a way as possible. Introducing my next YouTube series, “Making A Song In Logic Pro X Start To Finish.“ I believe I have a responsibility to share the truth with you and simplify all the overwhelm. I want to cover all the basics of what it really means to make a song from scratch in a straightforward way. And yes, the DAW I personally use is Logic Pro X. So in this series, that’s what I’ll be creating in. BUT, everything is just as applicable and doable in the DAW you’re rocking with. I promise you. Just pay attention to the steps I take and the reasoning behind them, then simply mirror that in your own music software! My hope for you is a sense of freedom and direction, that might bring you a little closer to believing you could actually make your songs the way you want to.
