She makes a rough sketch of her latest design, influenced by pictures of traditional peasant costumes in history text book. Olive passes sketch onto artist who converts sketch into more detailed drawing. Various shots of Olive looking at different kinds of fabric with dressmaker in work room. Various shots of dress being made up: dressmaker cuts fabric, machinist stitches it, another dressmaker presses it. M/S of model wearing finished dress - simple but elegant tweed dress. Note: narration seems to be encouraging women to chooses fashions that are plain and austere and not to be carried away by “frills and fripperies“ of post-war designers!
