Story about Eskimos and the way they live. L/S of an Eskimo sitting in a snowy landscape. Intertitle reads: “No Cinemas, no dances - always looking for something to do. Joyriding in a frail kayak.“ Eskimo walks away from the camera towards his boat. He climbs in and sets off. We see him kayaking in icy waters. “He whittles a lot of his time away.“ L/S of an Eskimo sitting on some rocks and whittling a piece of wood. C/U of the craftsman. C/U of the concentrated face of the Eskimo. He places the piece of wood in his mouth and operates a hand held whittling device. C/U of his hands as he works on a small figure - an Eskimo in a kayak. Another figure is shown - a bird. “There’s a sort of Scotch touch about an Eskimo, too - “ C/U of the Eskimo splitting a match in two before he lights his pipe. C/U of the man smoking a pipe.
