’British Brewery Creates SPECIAL Beer to Celebrate The King’s Coronation’ Windsor and Eton Brewery has created a new beer to celebrate King Charles’ Coronation, with a special portrait of the King also being commissioned. It’s called ‘Return of the King’ - its name a realisation that most of Britain’s Heads of state have been King but for most of our lifetime, we’ve been ruled by a Queen. It’s the only brewery with a royal warrant to the late Queen, Elizabeth II, which it has held since 2018. The royal malt is created with barley which has been grown on the Royal Farm in Windsor. It then gets malted and is used as the base malt in the special beer. Windsor and Eton will be sending a crate of its Coronation beer to King Charles lll so that he can give it a sample. This special beer will be available in different pubs leading up to the celebration and even after. Pubs, clubs and bars will stay open for an extra two hours during the weekend of Coronation to allow people to “enjoy an extra pint or two“. Will you be trying this special beer?
