Equirectangular Projection for Sphere - UV Squares - Tutorial

In this tutorial you will see how to make a perfect unwrap of a sphere for equirectangular projection in Blender. For full information about UV Squares see: Steps: if you already unwrapped your sphere: -convert to grid (alt E in UV Editor with addon UV Squares, link above) else: -create UV sphere -select top and bot vertex -duplicate them (shift D, RMB) -hide them (H) -delete top and bot vertex (X) -unhide all (alt H) - extrude and cancel (E, RMB) -scale to 0 (S 0) -snap to unhidden vertex (ctrl shift tab vertex, shift tab and snap) -repeat for bot -select only sphere (L) -inverse selection (ctrl I) -delete two vertices (X) -select all top and bottom vertices and one whole edge (alt MMB on edge) -mark seam -select all (A) -unwrap (U) -convert to grid (alt E in UV Editor)
