This video is part of the Unique Antique challenge, hosted by Krystal from @thekraftycreech and cohosted by myself, since I won the last challenge. Yay!! You can find the complete playlist here: In this video I made over an antique side table, that had a very dated, shiny finish. I removed the old finish, by using stripper. Considering all the details in the piece, that was a hell of a job...! The last part I did with a little help of my sand blaster... A paint wash in a soft grey color helped me get rid of the yellow tone of the wood. To make sure the beautiful wood grain would stand out a bit more, I used white wax on the complete piece. Products used: - Paint stripper (“super afbijt“) - French linen from Annie Sloan - Clear wax from Annie Sloan ™-wax-1?_pos=1&_sid=b47c9ee26&_ss=r - White wax from Annie Sloan ™-wax-1?_pos=1&_sid=6d499126b&_ss=r The links above link directly to my own webshop “De Goei Kamer“ (), where you are able to buy these products, when you are located in Belgium or The Netherlands.
