On 22 April 1983, a Friday, The Sunday Painters played the opening night of the Sedition Festival, a three-day showcase of 22 bands, as well as assorted video artists, at the Trade Union Club. $10 for the bands included the Scientists, Wet Taxis, Celibate Rifles, The Same, and Severed Heads.
