Whitby breaks world record for largest gathering of vampires

Whitby has marked the 125th anniversary of Bram Stoker’s Dracula with the world’s largest vampire gathering. 1,369 people attended the event at Whitby Abbey dressed as vampires, breaking the previous record of 1,039 set in the US in 2011. To break the record, vampires needed to stand together for five minutes and had to adhere to a strict dress code which had to include a cape and fangs.
