NASA Announces Decision on Boeing Starliner Crew - LIVE Breaking News Coverage
NASA will announce today whether the Boeing Starliner is safe enough to take the Starliner crew home from the International Space Station or if the crew instead will take a SpaceX Crew Dragon spacecraft home next year. Join us for LIVE coverage of the NASA news conference announcing their decision on the Boeing Starliner crew.
The Boeing Starliner launched on a test flight to the International Space Station (ISS) on June 5 with two astronauts, Suni Williams and Butch Wilmore. The mission was only supposed to last around a week. But problems arose with the Boeing Starliner spacecraft, and NASA has delayed the return flight home of Williams and Wilmore while NASA researched the issue with the Starliner and decided if the spacecraft was safe enough to take the astronauts home. The backup option would be to have the crew take a SpaceX Dragon capsule back to Earth in February of 2025. Today NASA will announce its decision in a press conference. In this interactive live stream, host Steve Lookner brings you live coverage of NASA’s announcement of its decision on the Boeing Starliner crew (which will be revealed in a press conference), and he’ll also read your comments and questions on the air!
