I was starting high school when Grease came out, and no one I knew cared that the cast playing high school students ranged from 23 (Travolta) to 33 (Stockard Channing), when the film was shot. Travolta was the big draw and the critics’ darling, but it was Newton-John, her silence in this scene speaking volumes. 1978, directed by Randal Kleiser.
