Over scenes of dawn breaking in countryside, commentator describes how “Poets, painters and musicians, all have described the glory of daybreak with its simple beauty heralding another day“. He goes on to introduce “those master musicians“ Reginald King - piano, Albert Sandler - violin, accompanied by Reginald Kilbey - cello as they play “that haunting melody, ’Daybreak’“. Pathe Studio, London. The trio play in a room setting and the number is intercut with shots of countryside and coastline at dawn / dusk / night. Note: Reginald King was the composer of ’Daybreak’.
