2/95th Rifles (Australia) demonstrates its preferred method for loading
and firing the Baker infantry rifle in the field. The procedure is the
same for ball cartridge and blanks.
This procedure is the 2/95th base line. It is not the only ’correct’ method for loading the Baker - many variations may be used safely and efficiently.
95th Rifles techniques may not be appropriate for other muzzleloaders or for cartridges not made to 2/95th specifications.
Rifle used here is a Rifle Shoppe Baker with a rifled barrel (not an Indian origin smoothbore). And yes it is missing the feather spring on the lock in this clip - the retaining screw broke during filming.
