Come along with the Greenbelt Education Department on an informative journey to learn about the traditional lifestyle and cultural history of the Lenape People during the Eastern Woodlands Time Period.
During this Lenape Virtual Lesson, you will be introduced to (1) The shelters that the Lenape would build, (2) The tools they would make and use, (3) How they hunted, trapped, and fished for their tribe, (4) How they foraged for food and materials, (5) The agricultural techniques they used, (6) How the women and children would craft everyday items at home, and (7) How fire was incredibly important to the Lenape and how it was made!
This Lenape Virtual Lesson will highlight the way the Lenape People shaped the world they lived in as well as the world that we live in today.
