#TandooriSoyaChap today let’s make Tandoori Soya Chaap. A delicious vegetarian take on the tandoori chicken. This versatile dish can be served as a starter; it’s made with soya pieces marinated in a heavy marinade of rich spices, cream and butter. The uniqueness of this recipe is you can prepare this dish in tandoori style without using a tandoor. You can cook it directly over high heat and still get the same street style taste which we all crave for.

Ingredient Quantity
Soya Chap 6 no.
Oil 1 Tbsp
Carom seeds ¼ Tsp
Gram flour 1 Tbsp
Turmeric powder ¼ Tsp
Red chilli powder 1½ Tsp for sprinkle
Garam masala powder 1½ Tsp
Green cardamom powder ¼ Tsp
Ginger garlic paste 1 Tbsp
Yogurt ¼ Cup.
Salt to taste
Lemon juice ½ No. ½ no.
Mustard Oil 2 Tbsp
Chat masala for sprinkle
Method:
1. Take soya chap in mixing bowl, add water and keep it aside.
2. Heat oil in a pan, add carom seeds, mix well and sauté for 30 sec,
3. Add gram flour, mix it well and cook for medium flame about 1 Min.
4. Add turmeric powder, mix well and sauté for 1 min.
5. Remove in bowl, add red chilli powder, garam masala powder, green cardamom powder, ginger garlic paste and yogurt and mix well.
6. Remove the stick from the soya squeeze it and add to the marination bowl.
7. Add salt, lemon juice and mustard oil, mix well and keep it aside for 15-20 min.
8. Preheat the oven 220 c for 5 min.
9. Place the marinated soya chap on baking tray and bake for 10 min.
10. After 10 min. remove the tray from the oven and put leftover marination all over and bake it again for 10 min.
11. Take serving plate, arrange onion ring, lemon slice and mint leaves in one side, sprinkle some red chilli powder and chat masala on top of onion.
12. Remove the soya chap from the oven, place it on serving plate, squeeze lemon and sprinkle some chat masala and red chilli powder on top and serve hot.
