In this video I restore this awesome 1930’s Justrite brand miner’s carbide head lamp. Defiantly the coolest flashlight I’ve ever seen, and even though it’s really dangerous, I plan on using it every chance I get! In the video I also explain and demonstrate how it works. Acetylene gas is produced when water from the lamp’s upper level encounters the calcium carbide stored in the base via a dripping mechanism.
