ITV2 +1 and CITV +1 Continuity & Advert Breaks - Saturday 2nd September 2023

Here is some ITV2 1 continuity recorded during the first ever kids strand, which surprisingly enough is using the CITV branding. Needless to say, that’s something that I definitely was not expecting at all! So looks like the CITV brand is here to stay (for the time being at least) and hasn’t been completely killed off, and that it’s just its own linear channel that has shut down. Unfortunately, NONE of the shows as part of the strand are CITV original programming, they’re all imports. I have a feeling the reason why is because ITV needs to have these shows continue broadcasting on linear TV in order for them to continue being available on ITVX, because otherwise all the remaining episodes of those shows will expire and will inevitably be removed. For everything else that doesn’t expire that way, ITV sees no need for them to continue broadcasting on linear TV so they’re not part of the strand. I also decided to continue recording ITV2 1 after the CITV strand for the next few or so hours, mainly to show how the CITV strand has influenced the rest of ITV2’s schedule. Last Saturday, ITV2 aired two episodes of Secret Crush and three episodes of Love Bites. Now, they aired zero episodes of Secret Crush and two episodes of Love Bites. Is that an improvement?
