A new blood pact formed between these two shadowy entities of nowadays scene, both evoking grandeurs of the past and a disdain against nowadays scene and its further relinquishment of the genre’s essence. Sulphuric Night continues its path towards a dark and blissful death, ever carrying the flames that made the Finnish movement so widely acclaimed but always managing to avoid redundancy. So is “Passage to the Soul’s Final Rest“ a great example, starting off with a beautiful bass lead and incorporating this time some elements of swedish Depressive Black Metal as well. A very fitting follow up to the marvellous split with Candelabrum released last year.
