Samayapuram Mariamman Temple closed after elephant stomps mahout to death

The Samayapuram Mariamman Temple near Tiruchi has been closed after the mahout of the temple elephant was trampled to death by the animal on Friday. Three women and a child sustained injuries after the elephant suddenly turned wild. The deceased mahout has been identified as 45-year-old Gajendran. Follow us on
