This is a 360 degree video of a flight in my DIY home cockpit in Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020. I’m flying the Cessna Citation Longitude on the VATSIM network from Fort Lauderdale (KFLL) to Nassau, Bahamas Lynden Pindling International (MYNN). ***Ensure the device you are watching this on is set to the highest quality settings for best experience! The absolute most immersive experience is to watch this video using a VR headset. I have a Meta Quest 2 headset and the immersion is UNREAL! Quality does suffer a bit, simply because of the resolution limitations of the Quest 2, however newer headsets on the horizon with promises of higher resolution should really make videos like this shine! If viewing on a phone/tablet, simply tilt the device to change your viewpoint/look around. You can also use your finger to swipe around, and also pinch to zoom in/out. If on a PC, simply click and drag the mouse to look around. If you change to full screen mode, you can also use the mouse wheel to zoom in/out. If you’re watching on a television, this has shown mixed results in terms of what works and what doesn’t. It seems to work well on most Amazon Firestick devices, allowing you to simply use the remove control arrow buttons to change views. However, it has been hit or miss on Apple TV devices. I haven’t been able to narrow down the cause, but hopefully it will become more stable in the future. VR headset and PC viewing are my two recommendations for the best experience when it comes to viewing this type of content.
