I made a bed

My daughter needed a new bed. So I decided to build it. This is actually a very simple construction, just pieces of board joined together. I wanted to get a little fancy constucting the headboard and the footboard and thus made mortise and tenon joints. The rails are joined only with bolts and dowels to allow disassembly if needed. Decent hardwood is quite hard to find these days (at least reasonably priced). I found some pre-milled alder at the local home center, and that being the only option, I used it. It worked well enough. I’m not huge fan of its pinkish hue, but I intended to stain the frame anyway, so it didn’t matter. I had already bought some pine board for a slatted base. However, I happened to come across a ready made base at a furniture store outlet (it was dirt cheap too), so I’m using it instead. Tell me what do you like
