POLITICAL power­broker Sir Jeffrey Donaldson has been charged with rape and other sexual offences. The 61-year-old quit as leader of the Democratic Unionist Party as it emerged he was due in court on April 24. The new interim leader of the DUP Gavin Robinson has described charges of historical sex offences against Sir Jeffrey Donaldson as a “devastating revelation” for the party.
