Polyeleos, meaning in greek “much mercy“, in its main liturgical settings and emplacements consists of a regrouping of psalms 134 and 135, with ’Alleluia’ refrains sung between each verse. It is chanted solemnly either during a festive weekly matin service, or during an all-night dominical or festive vigil service.
The Polyeleos sung here by the Choir of the Monks of Chevetogne is taken from our CD “Annunciation and Acathist“.
