Amber Rae Dunn & Kennard Farmer “Into Each Life Some Rain Must Fall”

Originally recorded at Decca records in 1944 by Ella Fitzgerald and The Ink Spots, featuring Bill Kenny this classic tune is one of my favorites to sing with my good buddy Kennard Farmer. He initially proposed we learn this one way back when I first started doing music and we were in a reggae band called Yubu and the Africans headed by another good friend of mine Yubu Kazungu. You can find both of these guys playing all around Memphis. It’s such a treat to be apart of a city so vibrant in different musical genres, so although I’m more of a classic country writer myself I’m honored to sing such a beautiful song with one of my favorite male vocalist in town! -hope you enjoy
