US President Donald Trump’s Defence Chief James Mattis and his top diplomat, Mike Pompeo, have urged US Senators not to downgrade ties with Saudi Arabia, as punishment for the murder of journalist Jamal Khashoggi. US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo has said there was no direct evidence connecting Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman to the murder of journalist Jamal Khashoggi last month in Istanbul. The US Defence Chief said, “We have no smoking gun that the crown prince was involved“ in the killing of Jam
