First lab-grown contracting human muscle Duke University researchers report the first lab-grown human skeletal muscle that responds just like native tissue by contracting spontaneously and to external stimuli. Spontaneous contractions of human myobundles Myofibers began spontaneously contracting after three to five days of differentiation.
