SIAI-Marchetti S-211 - Italian flying trainer

The SIAI-Marchetti is a light jet combat trainer aircraft created by the Italian company SIAI-Marchetti in the early 1980s. Equipped with one jet engine and having a take-off weight of about 3 tons, the aircraft was positioned as a lightweight and cheap in operation jet trainer. However, despite a number of advantages, the S-211 failed to win the love of aviators around the world. However, the project continues to evolve, first as part of Aermacchi and now as part of the Leonardo model line under the M-345 index, as a lighter addition to the M-346 Master.
