Join me for a walk around the original Boston in South Lincolnshire, the one that gave its name to that big city in Massachusetts, and the one which is home to so much of its own riveting history. From its heyday as a port town to developing as a fishing hub and the trials of recent years, Boston has quite the story to tell, with an incredible amount to discover on every corner.
As we walk around Boston, we pass a number of interesting landmarks, including the River Witham, Custom House Quay, Shodfriar’s Hall, Boston Market Place, the Stump & Candle Pub, St. Botolph’s Church (Boston Stump), Wormgate, Blenkin Memorial Hall, Goodbarns Yard Pub, Red Lion Street, Boston Centenary Methodist Church, Wide Bargate, Boston War Memorial, Pescod Shopping Centre, Pescod Hall, Boston Meeting Rooms, Town Bridge, Blackfriars Theatre and Boston Guildhall.
Thank you so much to the following sites for their help in my research of Boston:
