Chronic vomiting in a cat due to antral pyloric polyps. Polypectomy

Benign polyps can appear as pedunculated or polypoid nodules protruding from the mucosal surface. The etiology is unknown and rarely causes issues except when leading to a marked obstruction of the gastric outflow, preventing or delaying gastric emptying. Chronic vomiting is typically the main clinical symptom. Although endoscopic images strongly suggest antral adenomatous polypoid gastritis, the diagnosis should be based on biopsy.
