Fashion Fair (1958)

The Royal Albert Hall, London. L/S of a model dressed in a multicoloured swimsuit and matching hooded cloak walking onto the stage at the first International Fashion Fair. M/S of the model as she removes the cloak to reveal the strapless swimsuit beneath. The ensemble is of Swiss design and the hood of the cloak has two bunny ears protruding from the top. The model turns and exits. M/S of two women in the audience. M/S of a model wearing an “English designed“ black and yellow skirt and a yellow blouse. The model removes the skirt to reveal yellow hot pants. C/U of the model unfastening the skirt, tilt down to reveal her bare legs. According to the narrator , “the whole accent of the Fair is on removing the financial stumbling block that prevents most women being as fashionably dressed as their richer counterparts“. M/S of the model picking up the skirt and sauntering off stage. M/S of two more women in the audience. L/S of a model walking onto the stage. S
