Practising Wing Chun Wooden Dummy (Section 1) 第一節木人樁

Wing Chun Chuen Kwoon 詠春傳館 originated in the 1960s, was started by Master Chow Tze Chuen 鄒子傳 under the encouragement of Grandmaster Yip Man. Grandmaster Yip gave this wooden dummy, as seen in the video, as a present to Master Chow to start teaching in the back-then new school. Today, even the wooden dummy is over 50 years of age, Master Chow is fully retired. The school is passed on to Sifu Jacky Chan, and relocated in Kowloon Bay to carry on teaching. Incidentally, “Chuen (傳)“ means “to pass on“ in Chin.
