KPA Unicon - Biograte Combustion

Unicon boiler plants for production of hot water and steam KPA Unicon’s product range includes gas, heavy and light fuel oil as well as bio fuel fired boiler plants. Additionally we supply heat recovery steam generators. It is also possible to place both water and steam boilers in the same Unicon plant. If the plant consists of more than one boiler, auxiliary equipment is placed according to the same layout next to each boiler. Unicon Biograte combustion technology Unicon Biograte is a rotating grate with a conical primary combustion chamber, and its fuel input ranges from 4 to 25 MW. The fuel is fed from the underneath to the center of the grate. It is dried in the middle of the grate by the heat that radiates from the refractory lining bricks and the flames without disturbing the burning fuel bed in the combustion zone. After the complete combustion of the residual carbon, the ash falls from the edge of the grate to the ash space filled with quenching water. //
